Welcome

The study of the interaction between people and natural resources is central to our ability to manage those resources, and ensure that they are used to achieve lasting benefits for humanity.

The School of Agricultural and Resource Economics, located in the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, at the University of Western Australia in Perth, uses its expertise in economic analysis, bioeconomic modelling and statistics to help understand these interactions across a wide range of natural resources.

The School has a national and international reputation in the areas of:

  • Natural Resource Management,
  • Bioeconomic Modelling,
  • Agricultural Risk Management, and
  • Policy Analysis.

An emerging area of research is in the design of effective and efficient economic policies that can help achieve societies objectives in terms of managing resource use.

This site will give you an indication of the range of our activities in teaching (both undergraduate and postgraduate) and research.

If you would like any further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
