Many problems faced by a growing population are issues in environmental and agricultural sciences that require a solid understanding of economics to solve.
There is a strong need for graduates who can combine their scientific knowledge with economics. This course will prepare you well to participate in environmental and agricultural decision making processes that are economically viable.
The Graduate Certificate in Science (Agricultural and Resource Economics) consists of four coursework units.
Students may select from a wide variety of units including Environmental Economics, Agricultural Economics and Marketing, Environmental and Resource Economics, Business and the Environment, Analysis for Natural Resource Economics, Economics of Water Management, Project and Risk Management, Management Decision Tools, Pasture Systems, Cropping Systems and Animal Production.

A relevant bachelor's degree from this or another recognised university; or a qualification or a level of education and professional experience recognised by the Faculty as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
