World populations and economies are rapidly increasing their demands for food and fibre.
At the same time, agricultural systems are being placed under pressure to meet environmental, social and economic goals. To meet these goals and to maintain or increase production levels, an understanding of the complex factors that shape agricultural systems is required. This course will prepare you well to participate in the rapidly evolving area of agricultural science.
Course outline
The Graduate Certificate in Science (Agricultural Science) consists of four coursework units.
Students may select from a wide variety of units including Plant Physiology: Plants in Action, Soil Biology and Plant Nutrition, Animal Science, Genetics, Pasture Systems, Cropping Systems, Organic Agriculture and Horticulture, Genetics and Breeding, Animal Production, Land, Soil and Water Systems, Plant Physiological Ecology, Integrated Pest Management and Project and Risk Management.

Admission requirements
Domestic students
A relevant bachelor's degree from this or another recognised university; or a qualification or a level of education and professional experience recognised by the Faculty as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
